Oreo cake ingredients:

  • 225g butter (room temperature)
  • 1 3/4 cups of sugar - 350g
  • 4 eggs
  • 390g flour (3 cups)
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 3/4 pack of baking soda - 12g
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp / pack vanilla sugar, but then reduce the sugar
  • 8 Oreos (without middle cream - makes 16 half) - break into small pieces by hand

Cream cheese frosting border and decoration ingredients:

  • 370g fresh cheese - (better cold - double cream) the less moisture, the better - otherwise, add more powdered sugar or let it solidify in the refrigerator
  • 170g butter (room temperature)
  • 450g Powdered Sugar (4.5 cups)
  • Vanilla extract (optional)

Whip cream filling ingredients:

  • The inner cream of the 8 first Oreos
  • 200g heavy cream
  • 2 heaped tbl spoons powdered sugar / about 1/3 cup
  • 1 pack of whipped cream stiffener (Sahnefest)
  • 8 Oreos small chopped (including inner cream)

Chocolate Drip ingredients:

  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 5 Tbl spoons heavy cream

Oreo border ingredients

  • 8 Oreos (just the cookies, finely chopped)

Decoration Ingredients:

  • 4 Oreos cut in half

Oreo Cake Instructions:

  1. Mix butter at room temperature for 2-3 minutes with hand mixer
  2. Add sugar and mix for 1 minute (preferably one cup at a time)
  3. Add one egg after another leaving 30 seconds before adding next egg. The result should be a really nice creamy mixture.  If you have lumps, then the butter wasn't soft enough.
  4. Combine baking powder and flour
  5. Add the dry ingredients slowly to the butter mixture (2 heaped tablespoons at a time) and alternate with milk
  6. Chop 8 Oreos (only the biscuits) and stir into the cake batter
  7. Divide cake batter into 2X 15cm baking molds (6 inches)
  8. Bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 55 minutes to 65 minutes (do the toothpick test)
  9. Wait until cake is cooled (prepare remaining ingredients in the meantime)
  10. Cut each cake in half

Cream cheese frosting instructions:

  1. Beat butter (at room temperature)
  2. Add 3 cups of powdered sugar gradually and stir
  3. Add the cream cheese and the rest of the powdered sugar and combine

Whip cream instructions:

  1. Combine heavy cream, cream stiffener, the inside cream of the 8 first Oreos and powdered sugar.  Beat until stiff.

Chocolate Drip/ganache instructions:

  1. Place the chocolate and heavy cream in a bowl and melt over a water bath until melted
  2. Stir until chocolate comes to room temperature

Bring it all together:

  1. Add a layer of Oreo cake on a cake board 
  2. Cover the edge with cream cheese frosting
  3. Add whipped cream to the inside of the cake
  4. Distribute chopped Oreos
  5. do the same with the remaining layer... then
  6. Cover the outside of the cake with frosting until smooth (apply a crumb coat first)
  7. Keep in the refrigerator until cream cheese frosting is firm (about 30 minutes - 1 hour)
  8. Add chopped Oreos to the outside of the cake
  9. Apply drip chocolate on the cake
  10. Use remaining frosting and Oreos to decorate the cake
